Car Warning Lights You Should Never Ignore

There are a lot of warning lights on your dash that you don't have to pay attention to all the time. But there are some important ones you should never ignore because they're signalling a serious problem that could put you in danger.

Here are seven warning lights that you should never ignore:

Check Engine Light:

The check engine light indicates that there is a problem with your car's emissions system. Driving with this light on can damage your catalytic converter and reduce fuel economy, so make sure to have your car checked out by a mechanic if you see this light come on.

Low Fuel Light:

The low fuel light warns you when the fuel tank is nearly empty, so it's important not to ignore this one. Suppose the light goes off while driving; pull over immediately and fill up before continuing on your journey.

Brake System Light:

A flashing brake system light means that there is an issue with your braking systems, such as low fluid or a malfunctioning sensor. This could lead to reduced braking performance, so take your vehicle in to the shop for inspection as soon as possible if this light comes on while driving.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS):

The TPMS warns you when tire pressure drops below an acceptable level for safe driving conditions (usually when tires are underinflated by 25 per cent or more).
